If I started an anti-Threads clique, would anyone join? Something to unite Pete fans and Jacob fans and slashers and general non-shippers alike. Hell, even Anubis fans'd be welcome. *lol* There is so much to hate about that ep.

I've not seen it, but just from what I've heard about it, I'll join.

They seem to be killing off characters left and right and trying to fit Sam and Jack into a box they weren't meant to fit in. :-S

::tries to make a mental note to read a transcript of Threads::

That's exactly what they're doing. Other than the Daniel scenes, Threads was horrific.

I had barely any tolerance for Lost City at first, and then I saw Grace and thought 'no, it can't get worse...'. And now it apparently has. It's like the powers that be are playing limbo with the storylines.

Eventually, all shows run out of ideas. I'm hoping that even though season 9 will be the Jackless Horror, the sort of 'wrap-up' of season 8 will give them the chance to start some new storylines that will revitalise the whole thing to an extent. At least give them the chance to end the show well, and not just trickle off and fade into mediocrity.

Hey, you're the resident Jonas expert on my flist, so I should take the opportunity to ask you, especially since Sci Fi isn't showing any season 7 eps that I can see. I haven't seen the return of Daniel Jackson episode yet, so I'm wondering what actually happened to Jonas. I mean, did Daniel just come back and suddenly Jonas was fired? I know he turns up again in season 7 but I only caught the last ten minutes of that ep and I was completely lost.

I'm really afraid of the trickle away. And I'm not that interested in the Jackless Horror either, though I surmise that's why they're putting the oh so familiar Ben Browder on. But, hopefully the loss of their "Richard Dean Anderson stars in" banner will give them a kick in the pants in the right direction, knowing that they can't just depend on familiar names anymore.

Yay, I'm finally an expert at something. Or... just the only one who cares, lol. Yes, that's pretty much what happened. When Daniel returned, they were togther for most of the mission and were talking about how it would work. They were both pretty adamant that they could co-exist on base at that point, with Daniel saying, "You can have the office". Then the story turned right around when the other two nations of Jonas' planet said in the end that they wouldn't negotiate with Kelowna unless Jonas was their ambassador, so he had to leave.

Which makes no sense, because when he returns in season seven, he's a scientist again, and the same old faces are at the negotiation table. ::throws continuity book wildly in the air::

That's... a strange way of going about it.

And then he went off to battle the giant mosquito men. *nod*

It was very strange. It seemed about as rushed as Meridian, and it was a two-parter. :-S Not to mention the reseource they just sort of chucked away... He could do Daniel's reports or *something*, really. Oh well, at least it's not Sam/Jack...

Oh, I really want to see that 'Mansquito'. Such a cheesy idea, I just laugh already. ::laughs hysterically:: Ah, what SciFi will pick up... ::shakes head::

Yeah, it would've been cool if Jonas had stuck around, at least as a recurring character, on the level of Dr. Fraiser.

Dude, Mansquito cracked me up. His girlfriend in it also played Shaun'ac on SG-1, and I spent most of the movie making bad jokes. "Babe, you said it'd be different for us! But you're doin' me like you did Teal'c, why you gotta be like that?"
Mar. 15th, 2005 08:44 pm (UTC)
Well, on the level of Doc Fraiser, they'd have killed him already. ::rolls eyes::

::cackle:: I love doing that. I had a lot of fun with the episodes of MacGyver that had Don S Davis in them, lol. Not to mention the one where he flips Chris Judge over his head. ::grin::
Mar. 15th, 2005 09:21 pm (UTC)
Doubtful they would've killed both... I mean, not even they would be that horrid... right? *meep*

*lol* I've seen the Don S. Davis eps but not the Chris Judge one yet. I'm still waiting for it to repeat one of these days.

I wouldn't put it past them... ::shudders::

Oh yes, the wonder of physics... Bwa. "Take that, T!"
