Damn, I'm posty today.

But this? Is funny. The headline reads "Man Commits Suicide after Learning Harry Potter Spoiler".

I think this counts as my 'I don't get the HP thing' post. You were spared the whining. *lmao*

Psst. Just in case you didn't catch on. The article's satire. Though I wouldn't be surprised if someone did.

I just don't understand the deep hysteria. *mind boggles*

The part that really boggles the mind is when people show up at the bookstore the night before waiting for it to open only to stand in line for hours to buy the book.

Look guys, the book will still be there tomorrow. If they run out? They order more. That's what stores do.

I don't know if you saw the bit Rob Corddry did on The Daily Show about how a few copies got sold ahead of time in Vancouver? But it was brilliant. It 'covered' the story just like CNN and such covered the bombings in London. "Could a breach of Harry Potter security happen on our side of the border??" It was hilarious.

*lmao* Yep, pretty much.

I never see as much spoilerphobia as when a new HP book comes out. It's uncanny.

Is it that bad? I've never even been tempted to pick one of those books up. *lol*

*lol* "Hi, I'm J.K. ROWling..." Now if he were a ninja, he'd have made it.

And then he came in as a woman and ruined it with a Southern accent. *cackles*

*lol* "She's British." The bookstore guy was so not amused.

It's a damn book! Get over it!

Here's a spoiler for you: Hermione has a sex change and is the half-blood prince. Spread around liberally.

Ahahahaha! *dies*

I think that had nothing to do with Harry Potter anymore but with a behaviour disturbance. Crazy American.

I'm a HP fan and very glad to have the book, but I seriously do not understand some people...

It reads like satire to me. But then again, I think everything is satire. *snerk* I just like how it points out how some people take things to extremes.

The best part about the whole HP thing is seeing Pope Rat ranting and raving about witchcraft. It's so funny.

I <3 Harry Potter, as a good story - no more than I love any other good story. I hate the rabid Harry Potter fans. RABID, you are SO RIGHT. I encountered a bunch of giddy rabid overly caffienated youth at 6pm yesterday, FREAKING OUT and having spazz attacks in the entrance of Borders. FREAKING OUT because they got a "ticket" to get a chance of getting a book at MIDNIGHT. They SHOWED UP AT SIX FOR AN EVENT THAT STARTS 3 HOURS LATER, and the BOOK DOESN'T COME OUT FOR A WHOLE 6 OTHER HOURS!
I mean if that is your priority in life, you have bigger problems than whether you get the freaking book or not.

Anyway that's my rant, preaching to the choir! LOL... On a sidenote, my mom bought me the book, but I would have waited to read it after my sister was done and borrowed her copy. Because yeah they're good stories... But that's about it!

You know, I almost wish I were a shrink, you know, for when the series ends or JK dies. There's going to be some serious trauma.
