End of An Era

You know, no matter what they do on SG1 for the rest of the season, this *points to icon* is how I will remember it ending. It's how I choose to let it end.

All good things must come to an end, and I have enough reruns of the good ol' Jack and Daniel show to last me for a good long while.

I really need to download #200, don't I?

I'm not ready to let it end, and neither is Cooper. Plus, the fans are making a stand.

You know, I tried to think about it. I sat down and asked myself "how would I argue for a season 11?"

Other than 'why stop now?' I couldn't think of anything convincing. If it had been the old days, with Jack and Daniel? I could've argued pages. As it is, I'd not only have to argue 'keep it on', but also 'make it better', and 'stop ignoring Daniel' and 'make Sam stop sucking donkeyballs' and 'make up your mind on who's running SG1' and 'Vala should be around, but NOT on the team', and so on so forth.

I decided to just let the beating of the dead horse stop.

That's just my opinion. I'm a part of enough 'post-cancelation' fandoms (The Sentinel, Highlander, due South) to know that fandom (my reason for fanboying) doesn't end just like that.

I'm not happy that it's over, but I accept it, you know? And if the fans manage to bring it back, I'll keep watching, and hope it gets better instead of worse, and I'm sticking around the fandom LONG after the show(s) is/are gone. And the petition, I might even sign it, but I can't muster up the mental prowess to write a letter that'll be more than 'uh, you suck, Sci Fi'. How's that for an intelligent response to their asshattery?
