Life or something like it

Moving the week of April 14.

Wrote a shitload of pages on Legacy of Olympus today. Go me! I decided I needed to introduce a new element to the mix, in the form of a new character as a foil to Patrick. I realised that there was no way in hell the whole chapter would work as it was, with just Raeith and Patrick. Also, this way instead of taking that massive, cracked detour to San Baptiste that I'd previously envisioned, Rikki's storyline can move forward as well.

As I was driving home tonight sucking on a massive lollipop and listening to my Apolloverse soundtrack, I pondered on some elements left behind in prior drafts and how I could somehow bring some of them back. Some things are best left out. Others, I might be able to reinvent into new and better forms. For now, I'll just go with the flow I've got right now on Chapter 8. At some point I do need to go back and finish Chapter 6, or is it 5? The one with the flashback that just won't be written. I might need to rewatch some eps of Roar and maybe a Boudicca docu or two to get back in that frame of mind.

I need to go to bed. Finish reading Dog Days.
