I'm glad to say, though, that I do feel this year a little bit like it's not so much choosing between a Douche and a Turd Sandwich. I actually like the candidate I voted for. Sure, he's a politician, and as such they are morally suspect to begin with, but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt precisely because he's so new at it. He's no Emperor Palpatine, at least. And no matter what happens, hopefully, it will be the end of an era.
But please, vote. We can't afford to let crotchety old men dictate how to run our country. Look around you and see all the diversity of people and their culture and beliefs. That's what makes America a great ideal. Let's make it more than an ideal for once, k?
Also, those of you in Harrisburg, I'll probably be at the Strawberry tonight for a pint, no matter who wins. It will either be drinking to celebrate, or drowning my sorrows and plotting my escape. Anybody in Europe looking for a husband? I can cook. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. ;)
