Calling all Trekkies!

Who wants to help beta read my original Star Trek short stories? I'm just doing them for fun and will give them away for free - for obvious legal reasons - but I do want them to be as good as I can make them. The overachiever in me wants readers to wish it were a real TV show, but of course, I can't control that. All I can do is write the best stories I can.

But every writer needs a beta reader or two. I have a new ship, all original crew and hopefully some adventures you haven't seen before. Of course, there is LGBT representation on the ship, as well as some alien races the networks probably wouldn't have had the guts to put on any of the earlier shows.

I don't know yet how many 'episodes' I will be writing, but I have at least four ideas stewing and am currently writing the pilot. I will probably do all sharing through Google Docs, so let me know if you're interested. Either put your email address in comments (preferably your gmail, for Docs purposes) or send it to my gmail directly (fiddlesidhe). If enough people prefer to do it on LJ itself, I may do it that way instead, as posts locked to a new list.

What you will get in return is a very rough draft, initially, but hopefully with your feedback it will get better! And then I will love you forever and make you cookies. Okay, I will buy you cookies. When I have money. I can only promise that I want to buy you cookies.
